In this PowerPoint I have used a screen shot to show how the music video progresses within its duration and the capacity of what is in the mise-en-scene of each shot. This is because the idea of the preliminary task is to remake an existing music video: therefore it is vital that our remake runs parallel with the original otherwise it would not be a remake. It is important that we base our preliminary task on a popular music video as it will help us understand the features of a successful music video and then hopefully when we make our own we will have more knowledge to create better ideas.
We decided to use Hit Me Baby by Britney Spears due to the settings and the narrative/performance within the video. It is set in a school classroom and a school corridor. We have access to these settings on a daily basis and therefore it is a good idea to chose this particular video as we will be able to remake it in an effective and realistic way. There are no special effects so it would realistic for us.
We already know that we are only going to complete the first 45 seconds of the video as it would be too time consuming to remake the entire video seeing as it is the preliminary task and not the final piece. We all feel that we would get a good understanding of how to make a successful video using good camera shots, the right quantity of camera shots and making good use of props from the first 45 seconds anyway.
