"Sound of the Underground" is the debut single by Girls Aloud, that later featured on their debut album of the same nameFollowing Girls Aloud's formation on the ITV1 reality television show Pop stars: The Rivals, "Sound of the Underground" was released on 16 December 2002. It became the Christmas number one. The single spent four consecutive weeks at number one, and soon received a platinum certification from the British Phonographic Industry.
The music video was recorded in an empty London warehouse. The song has been performed by Girls Aloud in a number of live appearances. "Sound of the Underground" was praised for its originality for both a girl group and a reality television act. The song was referred to as a defining moment of the decade musically, credited with reshaping British pop for the 2000s.



Cheryl Cole Video
"Promise This" is a song by Cheryl Cole, taken from her second studio album as a single artist Messy Little Raindrops. It was released in the United Kingdom and Ireland as the album's lead single on the 24th of October 2010. The genre is up-tempo pop. The lyrics to "Promise This" reference Cole's personal life and relationships, as well as incorporating the French language. The song received generally favourable reviews from music critics.
The single's release came in the aftermath of a public divorce from footballer Ashley Cole, as well as a life-threatening battle with malaria. The video features scenes of Cheryl dancing as a ballerina. It also features scenes including Cole dressed as a flamenco dancer and a black leotard outfit. She performed the single live on the 7th of The XFactor on the 24th October 2010. "Promise This" became Cole's second solo number-one single in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

  2. You have gone into a lot of detail with analysing your Star. You have given a good amount of information about her, who she is, and what she has done throughout her career. To improve you could comment on why you thought the group she was part of split and then why she went on to pursue a solo career. I like how you have analysed star image and included lots of images as examples. Well done for analysing a couple of her videos as well. This gives a higher insight into your start and shows you have really put time and effort into looking at this specific artist. Maybe comment on how it might help you when you are creating your own star for your music video.
