Potential Settings In Essex

I have completed some individual research on settings that are local to me and my group in Essex. They are outdoor settings and are available to the general public: this means that we would not have to spend money on a setting. Using the outdoors also looks more urban and this would suit our genre more. We do plan to use two indoor locations that are mentioned within the treatment task.

The first picture is of a windmill in Upminster. It is something that I have never seen before in a music video: even when I have researched existing music videos and student videos. I like the old look that it has and the white base colour will allow our artist to strongly stand out against this as a backdrop. In our video the windmill would be symbolic of time passing by or time stopping. This would depend on whether or not the windmill is in use. If it is it would represent how everyone is getting on with their own lives and the world is getting on whilst the people within our video are heartbroken and cannot move on from this. If the windmill is not in use it would represent how our actress cannot go on without her love or how they cannot go on living the way that they have been. As you can see from the picture there is access to the windmill and there is a place for people to stand: however, we do not yet know if the windmill is open for public use at this current time. In the background are trees which represent nature and vulnerability.

  1. WWW: you have really researched into locations and said where and why they would and wouldn't work. Well done more analysing in depth the locations

EBI: you mentioned weather conditions - how this could effect location choice
