Timetable for Practice Filming

We created a timetable before we completed our practice filming to ensure that we were able to complete everything that we both needed and wanted to. I know that organisational skills are the key to success within this project, alike to the project in year 12 at AS level.

The first column heading that we felt necessary to be included within our time table was time and date. This would ensure that everyone would turn up. It was important to include the time as we all needed to be punctual to increase the chance of us completing as much filming as possible. If Karina and Frankie were not on time then we would not be able to film scenes such as the subway scene. This is due to both group members being within the video and if they were late then it would be too dark to film at both of the locations. If I was not on time then I would not be able to film the scenes. Frankie and Karina have done research on performing in existing videos, therefore it was key that they were on time so that they could use their research to give each other advice. I have done research on camera work and editing so it was vital that I was on time so that I could help with the camera work to make sure that it is professional, realistic and effective.

The second column was the location. This was within our table so that we all knew where we needed to be: again, this relates to our desire of wanting to be punctual to remain organised. Alongside this was the performance. In this section we wrote our ideas down as to what we want to be within each shot that was being filmed at the location. This would ensure that when we was filming we did not miss anything out as if we did it would be time consuming to go back and film when it might not even be useful. It would also allowed Karina and Frankie to get an idea of what is was they needed to be doing.

The duration section gave us an idea of how long we would be filming each scene. This was important as the weather is a highly impacting factor: we knew this from previous research. If we spent too long filming one scene and went over our time limit then it would have been too dark to film the other scene.

Leading up to the day of filming we made a group conference on our smart phones. This was so that we could put all of our ideas into a discussion when we were not with each other and were at home. We also posted pictures of potential costume and makeup: therefore we got everyone's opinions instead of all turning up on the day with opposite ideas.

Overall, this time table helped a lot with our organisational factors. It allowed us to remain calm and now we all feel a lot confident about filming for our final product.
