This first video is of our artist Faith who is played by group member Karina. Included in this video are all of the shots that we filmed of Karina (not including the number of attempts). I feel that it is important to show all of our shots as we spent a lot of time ensuring that we innovated our ideas into a variety of different shots in order to provide ourselves with access to a large number of clips that we could choose from in the editing stages. Without the quantity of shots it could have been very limiting as to how good our practice video could have been: especially when considering the quality of our shots as we had a bad camera.
Some of the shots are good and some of the shots are bad. A number of them were selected to feature in the final video of our practice filming. I edited this and therefore I have a first-hand experience of how difficult it is to fill up spaces, relate to our genre and to our target audience when there are not enough shots. For example, Karina found it difficult to lip sing on some occasions resulting in some of the shots not being of any use. This hindered the continuity of some of the shots and left me short when it came to the editing of the video. I now know myself that it is important that we film even more than what we already did to ensure that we do not have to go back on ourselves: which could potentially make us get behind and as a result miss important deadlines.
WWW: This clip shows your progress, you have noticed what works and what doesn't in not only filming but the editing which is key for future work
ReplyDeleteEBI: you could mention about the lighting, make-up, outfit, etc... was it what you wanted?
